Following the availability of space and meetings organized at ARTEUM MAC in July 2024, then the resulting creations, Pauline Bocahut is invited to present the result of her work. The exhibition Alluvions installed as part of a reception in residence in situ presents its recent illustrated cyanotypes, large installations at the scale of the place. The construction of his project responds in particular to a call made to the inhabitants of the village. His work constituted, in a certain way, the architecture of the place. "The Castle Park, calm, bright, magnificent and full of soul, was a perfect setting to welcome the circle of 19 women, including a majority of inhabitants of the village, around the issue of (not) motherhood in the construction of our identity as women. Under the sun of Châteauneuf-le-Rouge, in this large space at the foot of the Château, in the continuity of its history, these 19 women lay on a 10m long cyanotype. Pauline Bocahut In collaboration with sound artist Emeline Selmi, this cyanotype will be presented as an immersive installation to integrate into the architecture of the museum and the history of the place. On the occasion of ARTEUM’s 40th anniversary, the accompanying articles, posters, archival photos, testimonials, catalogs, works by artists from the collection, as well as a reconstruction of Arsène Sari’s workshop -1895/1995, having belonged to its history will be consistent with the missions of ARTEUM, to inscribe the young creation in perpetual motion in the continuity of art.
