1000 years of history in Montreuil
Between the church of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul, where there was the monastery that probably gave its name to the commune, the town hall which hosts the frescoes by Charles Fouqueray attesting to the revolutionary past of the Montreuillois, the former Star Film studios of Georges Méliès, production site of the biggest worldwide success of their time, the Chapal factories which were the main European centre for pelt making and many other traces of the past... Discover the millennial history of Montreuil. During this walk of a little less than 2 hours, the town hall will open its doors to contemplate the works that adorn its old council room as well as its hall. Thomas Stehlin will be keen to follow a chronological thread retracing the episodes of a commune with an atypical past yet closely linked to the history of France. Informations The walk takes 30 minutes. Meet on the forecourt of the Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church for an arrival at Place on March 19, 1962. Book
