Aperçu

Since 2022, the church of Saint-Jean-de-Losne classified as a Historical Monument has benefited from a comprehensive restoration program at a cost of more than 3 million euros. Built of bricks in the 16th century, the church combines Gothic architecture with Renaissance elements and has a rich furniture of the 17th and 18th centuries (pulpit to preach, stalls, high altar with baldaquin, organ, classified as historical monuments). On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, visitors will be able to freely discover the exterior of the church whose restoration has been completed, and observe the construction inside, from the church’s portal. They will be able to enjoy an introduction to the history of the monument and explanations of the construction site by Pierre-Marie Guéritey, president of the association Saône Nature & Patrimoine.
