7 September 2025 (14:00 - 16:00) Baldernock Parish Church is celebrating is 230th anniversary this year, the current building having been erected in 1795 although there has been a church or place of worship on the site since about 1236AD. The church building and watchhouse will be open affording visitors the opportunity to see the beautiful interior of the church (featured in the current series of Shetland) and the archived material stored in the Watchhouse detailing some of the history of the buildings and surrounding cemetery. There is of interest for every visitor be it historical or spiritual. There are WC facilities across the road from the church.
