The Theopoloy Milites – Roman historical reconstruction

The association Les Theopoloï Milites is dedicated to the reconstitution of a unit of the Roman army, as it existed between the end of the second and the beginning of the third century AD. Passionate about this little-known period, its members strive to convey its richness to the general public through lively and educational activities. To discover during the Heritage Days at the Antique Garden: Themed animations continuously around three main axes:

• Roman cuisine: discovery of ancient flavors and culinary practices
• Religion: immersion in the cults and beliefs of imperial Rome
• Military life and clothing: presentation of the legionnaire’s equipment and his outfits
