The fort ball is a traditional ball game in the Loire Valley and at the borders of this region1. The ball used has its center of gravity slightly offset (strong side) from the tread (metal circle), which means that it never follows a straight trajectory, while the terrain with raised edges, extremely «rolling», also makes it slowly zigzag. The fort ball is classified as a traditional game of the Pays de la Loire in the Inventory of French Intangible Cultural Patrimony2 by the Ministry of Culture.
