The mill of the Petite Bavouze, industrial and fluvial heritage emblematic of the canalized river in the 19th century
Built between 1862 and 1864 during the works of the canalization of the Mayenne, the mill of the Petite Bavouze is a witness to the milling activity that developed along the river over the centuries. It was not dismantled following the cessation of its operation, a quarter of a century ago, and is still equipped with all its equipment. Restored since 2021 with the support of the heritage foundation, the heritage mission led by Stéphane Bern, many patrons and donors, and local authorities, it regains its former luster and everyone can now admire this beautiful 19th century architecture located on the navigable Mayenne, on the edge of the "La Vélo Francette" cycle route.Free tour of the mill with audio guide
