The Hotel Bodard de la Jacopière in Chinon is fully listed as a Historical Monument. It had been owned by the City of Chinon since 1822, after having been the residence of Jean-Baptiste Bodard de la Jacopière, mayor of Chinon between 1813 and 1816 and who bequeathed his name. It hosted the local history society, the city museum and the Compagnons du tour de France. Since 2021, the building has been sold to the SCI of Liesse, resulting from the Bodard association, with a view to creating an International Heritage Centre there.
