🏛️ Free visit – Mansion and Academy of Bordeaux

Admire a remarkable 19th-century mansion in Bordeaux, with its grand staircase, its succession of elegant lounges and its library.

This visit is an opportunity to discover the National Academy of Sciences, Belles-lettres and Arts of Bordeaux, founded in 1712, and its rich heritage, including a portrait of Montesquieu classified as a historical monument. 🖼️ The period lounges, adorned with woodwork, fireplaces, ice creams and 19th century ceilings, house:

• a slideshow retracing the history of the Academy,
• presentations on famous academicians and their current activities. 📚 At the library, you can discover collections of works and memoirs from the 19th century. Academicians will be present throughout the day to discuss with you.
