Aperçu

Housed in historic buildings, the Clamecy museum has remarkably varied collections: Gallo-Roman and Merovingian archaeology, paintings and sculptures from the 16th to the 20th century, posters of Charles Loupot, faience of Clamecy, memories of the Nobel Prize for Literature Romain Rolland and evocation of the activity of wood-floating, which consisted in supplying Paris with firewood. The temporary exhibition, Feminisms, is the result of an original initiative: a competition that was open to artists based in a radius of one hundred kilometers around Clamecy. They largely responded to this call, with creations in the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, as well as installations. Informations Free entry
