🏰 What makes a castle? – Chambon Castle Guided Tour
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2025, placed under the theme of architectural heritage, come and discover the Château du Chambon and its singular history.
In November 1578, Balthazar Deaulx married Jeanne Joudrinaud du Vignaud and became Lord of Chambon. He then inherits several buildings, including two fortified houses surrounded by walls and moats. To assert his new status, he undertakes to expand one of them with a marked architectural ambition: that of building a real castle. Elements of the late Renaissance, volumes, ornaments... as many signs that reflect this desire for grandeur, still visible today. Follow the owners on an exciting guided tour: they will reveal the characteristics that define a castle, through the remains and arrangements of the estate. An immersion in the family and architectural history of an emblematic place of the territory. Informations Price: 7.50 € per person. Reservation mandatory. Limited number of places. Departure of visits at 10:30, 14:00, 15:30 and 17:00. Book Phone 0661949908
