Concert: Salvete amici mei

By the Plain-Chant Workshop of the Sauternes Early Music Center

L'Atelier Plain-Chant invites you to a concert of plainchant and Gregorian chant, entitled Salvete amici mei ("Hello to you friends"), a real musical journey in the universe of modal singing. In this sound journey, the pure melodic lines dialogue with the architecture of the place, sometimes revealing primitive polyphonies. One perceives there the distant echoes of traditional Corsican, Basque or Auvergnat songs—both in polyphony and in vocal accents.
