Aperçu

The castle was built around 1590 by Nicolas Rapin, provost of the Constable of France and companion of Henry IV. In the 19th century, Octave de Rochebrune, owner of the castle, art lover and famous aquafortist, embellished Newfoundland with architectural elements from the Renaissance that have thus been preserved. The castle, being private and inhabited all year round, the interior can only be visited with a guided tour. You will also be able to enjoy the museum in autonomy, with an exhibition dedicated to the history of the place with a focus on key characters.
