All the furniture has been restored and enhanced by very beautiful lighting. The so-called painting of the 'Testament' representing the only written trace of Yves Hélory that has come down to us has regained its full place in the church alongside the various statues inscribed and classified as MH. They have also benefited from significant restoration works highlighting all their beauty.

  • The guided tour will present the important restoration work carried out on the building. Works that today allow to preserve a rich architectural heritage, high place of pilgrimage for Saint Yves and source of transmission of local history to future generations. The church of Saint-Yves de Minihy-Tréguier is the mother church of the churches of Saint Yves. Yves Hélory de Kermartin had a chapel built on his family lands in 1293. Based on this location, the church of Saint-Yves has therefore undergone two major construction phases. The first took place in the 14th and 15th centuries and concerned the expansion towards the east of a span, the construction of a bell tower turret, the implementation of the vault and the drilling of large bays. The building retains, in general terms, its appearance from the 15th century until the 19th century when it underwent a second series of major modifications: the expansion towards the west of a span, the construction of the western massif and the implementation of the stone balustrade at the top of the walls dripping.
