Lecture: Louis Casano (1864-1939) memory of a forgotten
Come discover the amazing life of a forgotten musician from Les Andelys: Louis Casano. This musician, born in Algeria in 1864, will come to learn the organ at the Institute of the Young Blind of Paris. In 1892, he settled in Les Andelys where he became the organist of the Grand Orgue neuf by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, and professor of music at the Ecole Militaire. He will also devote himself to the composition of genre pieces, often paying tribute to the city of andelys. Lecture presented by Serge de Sainte Maresville, with visual and musical support.
