Reprogrammé Haendel The time regained – by the ensemble Café Zimmermann Ensemble: Created in 1999 and in residence at the Théâtre du Jeu de Paume in Aix-en-Provence, Café Zimmermann is among the leading baroque concerts in France and Europe. Taking its name from the famous establishment run by Gottfried Zimmermann in 18th century Leipzig, the ensemble strives to revive the artistic emulation carried by the establishment. The programme: A key figure in 18th-century vocal music, Haendel sublimates the voice at the heart of the Neun Deutsche Arien, embodied by the sparkling Swiss soprano Kathrin Hottiger.
