Aperçu

Built in 1865 under the leadership of Colonel Denfert Rochereau, the fort on Les Barres Hill (to be known as Fort Hatry in 1887) was completed just before the Prussian siege of Belfort began in 1870. Other barracks will complete it but will be razed in the 1980s. It will also be a German prison from which will leave several convoys. Discover the history of this preserved site so that the rehearsal rooms welcome up to 50 groups of amateur musicians each year.
