Exhibition and meetings of artists at the forge of the Bergerot factory
Located in Cysoing, the former Bergerot establishments open their doors for the European Heritage Days. The Bergerot factory manufactured medium and high-end upholstery weaving, fabrics mainly sold for export. The workshop was used for the maintenance and repair of Bergerot’s textile machines. It has remained in "its jus" since the creation of the factory in 1854. The workshop has a brick forge, several drills, an alternative saw, a lathe, a lapidary, a reel, etc. During this opening of workshops, the forge Bergerot invites artists from different disciplines: painters, engravers, ceramists, photographers. For this new edition of the European Heritage Days, several artists will be on site:
- Emmanuel Dykoka, graphic artist, painter.
- Nikonografik, painter, draftsman, collagist, muralist, this time proposes a work on the "volume" in clay.
- Lesley Plumey, artist engraving and drawing work on textiles.
- Audrey Keller, engraving and embroidery artist.
- Alain Lauras, metal sculpting artist.
