Nestled in its green setting on the heights of the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, the Bureau international des poids et mesures (BIPM) coordinates the global measurement system. He celebrated his one hundred and fiftieth birthday in 2025. The BIPM opens its doors again in 2025 on the occasion of the European Heritage Days: an opportunity for everyone to visit this unique place. A visit to the Pavillon de Breteuil inaugurated by Louis XIV in 1672 and its French-style gardens (Grand Parterre) as well as the collection of ancient instruments of the BIPM, allowing to discover the great figures of science that have marked the history of the BIPM, will be offered to visitors. The visits will take place in small groups (by reservation only), Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2025. Guided tour lasting about an hour and a half.
