Exhibition: "History of a revival", by Théo Haerpfer (1984)
Between June 10 and 20, 2025, the restoration of the Théo Haerpfer organ (1984) took place, carried out by Mr. Sébastien Braillon, organ builder in Mulhouse. The originality of this project lies in its association with an educational project conducted with the Saint-Antoine de Phalsbourg high school. Throughout the duration of the work, 26 volunteer students from the three 4th classes of the establishment lived an immersion in a little-known professional universe: that of organ building. They actively participated in the various stages of the lifting, such as dismantling, filing, cleaning and reassembling the pipes, as well as certain elements such as the false windshields or the pedal set. They were also able to discover the many facets of the profession of organ builder. Gradually, the students wrote an activity report, enriched with many photos taken by them. The fruit of this work constitutes the basis of this exhibition, composed of 60 booklets mixing images and comments, retracing the history of this restoration. Accessibility
