The bistros of yesteryear
The exhibition proposes an immersion in the daily life of bistros who once animated the hamlets of Plouilly. The heritage group traces the history of 23 establishments listed in the 1960s, spread out in the countryside and downtown. Thanks to archives, photos, objects and testimonies, the exhibition recreates the atmosphere of these popular places. We discover their multifunctional role: coffee of course, but also grocery store, farrier, place of balls or phone point. Rare documents, such as drinking licences or period signs, enrich the visit. This sensitive and lively reconstitution invites you to rediscover the soul of these disappeared bistros, which have marked the collective memory.
