💧 Water and heritage path in Nant
Nestled at the confluence of the Durzon and the Dourbie, the village of Nant invites you to a walk along the water, to discover its architectural and natural heritage. Stroll through the winding streets of this charming medieval village and follow an interpretive trail punctuated by 17 signs in the town, and an 18th at the source of the Durzon. 🗺️ An accessible course rich in discoveries:- 17 signposts in the village on a 3.5 km route (~1h30 of walk)
- The 18th panel is located at the source of Durzon, 6 km from the center 🖼️ Each stage highlights the local history through ancient bridges, Romanesque or Gothic churches, mills, canals, wash houses... 📍 Recommended departure: Place du Claux (parking) – see the full plan here. To go to the source of Durzon (panel 18): three options according to your desire for walking:
- By car: RD179, parking 200 m from the source
- By car + on foot: parking at the Mas du Pré bridge, after crossing the bridge on foot take the path on the right at the level of the cross that leads to the source (2.5km go – yellow marking).
- On foot from the center via the chapel of St-Martin du Vican (sign 17): take the path towards St-Alban (yellow markings), before arriving at Liquier, follow the path to the right (direction Source du Durzon) which leads to Mas du Pré, follow to the right the small road until in the bend and at the level of the cross, take the path on the left leads up to the source (round trip 14km from the center of the village).
