The association "les amis du Croisic" offers an exhibition on salt and its rich history. The exhibition follows the release, in September 2023, of the new review of the Friends of Le Croisic (n°5) which relates «The exciting history of salt at Le Croisic», its production, use and marketing. Today there are no more salt pans in Le Croisic but they were part of the Crusader landscape until the end of the 20th century. It is mainly the salt trade, whether national or international, that has largely contributed to the wealth and prosperity of the port city, which is still read today in its general aspect and architecture.
