Self-guided tour of the Noisy Exhibition, Renaissance of a castle, 1525-2025.
Noisy, Renaissance of a castle, 1525-2025. Created by the OMAGE Association in partnership with the Departmental Archives of Yvelines and Seine-Yvelines Archaeology, this exhibition traces the history and excavations conducted on the site of the castle of Noisy. The year 2025 marks a birthday for the site of the castle of Noisy. It was indeed 500 years ago, in 1525, that the lordship of Noisy was created by Guillaume Poyet, lawyer and future chancellor of France, during the reign of François I. This year also marks the centenary of the classification as a Historic Monument of the Gondi Gate, the former front door of the castle, in 1925. This first heritage protection measure is being extended with the inscription under the title of Historic Monuments of the entire site. It is therefore to the rediscovery of a disappeared castle that this exhibition invites you to discover in autonomy.
