From the valley of the couze, you will cross the reserve to take height and enjoy a splendid viewpoint! In this course, you will be accompanied by the curator of this national nature reserve in order to fully understand the natural environments, but also by the geologist-volcanologist Jean-Marcel MOREL to deepen the reading of the site and the landscape, identify the different geological formations present in the area of the reserve, discover their history. Within the reserve, geology, pedology, fauna and flora are intimately linked. On the slopes of the Couze d'Ardes valley, on the immediate edge of the Cézallier, this national nature reserve, protected and regulated space, gathers on nearly 40 ha, a mosaic of environments (cliffs, scree, dry lawns, moors, forest) and a remarkable biodiversity.
