Aperçu

The castle Madame de Graffigny was owned by Éléonore Joséphine Corbin, daughter of Antoine Corbin, founder of Les Magasins Réunis, from 1906. The arrangements made during its occupation are significant and concern both the interior and the exterior. The interior works were carried out with a concern for modernity and ingenuity, particularly as regards the work on light, its diffusion and its reflection. In a pure Art Deco style, Éléonore gave the last strong identity to the castle. Michel Ernewein takes you on an architectural journey, from the 18th century to the 1920s, to discover another leading woman: Éléonore. Find our program here.
