Aperçu

Come and discover the temporary exhibition Liberate and refound France 1943-45 through a flash guided tour. Designed by the Musée de la Résistance de Châteaubriant, located in Loire-Atlantique, this exhibition is enriched by pieces from the collections of the reserves of the Jean Garcin Museum of History. It shows how, from the landing in North Africa in November 1942, hope is reborn in France. This is the period when major resistance movements are organized but also during which the repression of the Nazi occupier and the Vichy government intensifies. When France was finally liberated, in 1944, the time had come to rebuild the country... but it did not signal the end of the restrictions, which will continue for a few years. The exhibition takes up the theme of the National Contest of Resistance and Deportation, Liberate et refonder la France (1943-1945), to highlight these decisive years, while presenting a local approach to this period. At 11am and 4pm on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September Free admission to the museum all day Informations 30 people maximum E-mail musee-appel-liberte@vaucluse.fr Phone 04 90 20 24 00 Accessibility
